Delbert Eugene "Joe" Harris

DELBERT EUGENE “JOE” HARRIS, 74, of Moriarty, NM peacefully passed away at his home on Monday, August 8, 2011. Joe was born on April 24th, 1937 in Portales, NM to Lawrence and Jessie (Inge) Harris. He married Mona J. McNabb, his loving wife of thirty-six years, on March 21, 1975 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Joe and Mona resided in Moriarty for the past seventeen years having previously lived in Las Cruces, NM. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Jessie Harris and son, Jeff McNabb. He is survived by his wife, Mona J. Harris of Moriarty, NM; sons, Billy Joe Harris and his wife Sheri of Wasilla, AK, Richard D. Harris and his wife Sandra of Hillsboro, NM, Rick McNabb and his wife Donna of Houston, TX; daughter, Tauna Harris and her husband, Dean of Anchorage, AK; brother, Dudley Harris of Trinity, TX; sister, Audeen Coble of Trinity, TX; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM at 10:00am on Saturday, August 13, 2011 with Richard Harris and Rick McNabb officiating. Viewing will begin at 9:00am and continue throughout the entire service. Pallbearers will be Dennis Franklin, Troy Franklin, Larry Cosper, Bruce Cosper, Jerry Johnson and Blake Inges. Burial will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, NM.
