Evelyn Hilda Buchner

EVELYN HILDA BUCHNER, 91, of Edgewood, NM, previously of Okla. City, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Evelyn was born on May 31, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio to Walter and Rachel (Goodman) Kaufman. On August 23, 1942, she married Harold Buchner of Detroit, MI. He preceded her in death in 2003. Evelyn lived her adult life in Oklahoma City, OK. She was a loving wife and mother, homemaker, and an active member of Temple B’nai Israel. Evelyn, was President of the Temple Sisterhood, Mitzvah Committee Chair, and tireless worker and volunteer as needed at Temple and in the Greater OKC community. She moved to Albuquerque, NM in July of 2008 and lived briefly in Edgewood, NM. Mrs. Buchner is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Cerveny and her husband Gary, Jacqueline Lindemann and her husband Peter, and Gayle Buchner; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in her memory to Temple B’nai Israel or to the American Breast Cancer Society.
