Marjorie Helen Artman

MARJORIE HELEN ARTMAN, 82, of Estancia, New Mexico, peacefully passed away at her home on Friday, June 3, 2011. Marjorie was born on February 17, 1929 in McIntosh, NM to Alvin and Nora (Vanderford) Hibner. Marjorie was a lifetime resident of Torrance County. She married Willis Charles “Dub” Artman, her loving husband of sixty-four years, on May 29, 1947. Marjorie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Estancia and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Velma Scott; and brothers, Kenneth Hibner, Clarence Hibner, Robert Hibner, Melvin Hibner, Wilmer Hibner, and Donald Hibner; and niece Margaret (Scott) Buck. She is survived by her husband, “Dub” Artman of Estancia, NM; sons, Robert Artman and his wife Ina, of Estancia, NM, Rick Artman and his wife, Kim of Elephant Butte, NM; daughters, Barbara Gilbert and her husband Gary of Albuquerque, NM, Julie Artman of Estancia, NM; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; brother, Glen Hibner and wife Julie of Oakridge, OR; and two sisters-in-law, Quaita Hibner of Clinton, AR and Doris Hibner of Oakridge, OR; and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 10:00AM at the First Baptist Church Estancia, NM. The Viewing will be at 9:00 AM at the church. Burial of cremains will follow at a later date.
