Charles Ray Puckett

CHARLES RAY PUCKETT, 81, of Moriarty, New Mexico passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011. Charles was born on March 26, 1930 in Hope, NM to Joe Marshall and Pearl (Turner) Puckett. He married Lois Jean Lobley, his loving wife of fifty-seven years, on June 1, 1954 in Ft. Sumner, NM. Charles along with his family had lived in Moriarty, NM since 1968 having previously lived in Albuquerque, NM. Charles was the past President of Association for Retarded Citizens of New Mexico and past Minister of Moriarty Church of Christ. Charles was very talented; he was a brilliant biochemist and loved using his knowledge helping people. Charles was preceded in death by his son Donald Puckett who passed away in 2003. He is survived by his wife, Jean Puckett of Stanley, NM; children, Charles Ray Puckett Jr. of Las Cruces, NM, Keith Howard Puckett and his wife Renee of Cloudcroft, NM and Rosemary Elliott and her husband Gerald of Stanley, NM; grandchildren, Audrey, Wade, Rosalyn, Lloyd, Lewis, Ashlin, and Ella; great-grandchildren, Kord, Kal, Eva, and Eden. There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 2:00PM at the Moriarty Church of Christ with John C. Booth Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service at Stanley Cemetery in Stanley, NM. Pallbearers will be Wade Elliott, Rece Hampton, Lewis Puckett, Lloyd Puckett, Ashlin Puckett and John Rutz.
