Richard I. Swanner

RICHARD I SWANNER, 77, of McIntosh, New Mexico, passed away at his home on May 20, 2011. Richard was born on February 8, 1934 in Thebes, IL to Charles B. and Bertha Ann (Taylor) Swanner. Richard had lived in McIntosh, NM since 1977. He married Marilou Logro on March 6, 2010. Richard was a life time member of the VFW Post 3370 Ike Cole, a volunteer of the McIntosh Fire Department for 20 years and a retiree of the Navy. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Genieve Foster; and two brothers, Charles J. Swanner and James E. Swanner. He is survived by his wife, Marilou Swanner of McIntosh, NM; daughters, Delinda Counts of Springfield, MO, and Cynthia Allred of Albuquerque, NM; brother, Claude Swanner of Las Vegas, NM; sisters, Geraldine Lewis of York, PA and Florance Blundell of Gonzales, TX; one grandchild, Miranda Counts and one great-grandchild, Olivia Crawford. There will be a Memorial Service at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 6:00PM with Lou Burns and John Moffett officiating. Burial of cremains will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 9:00AM.
