Jack Steward Smith

JACK STEWARD SMITH, 79, of Stanley, NM passed away on April 14, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Jack was born on July 25, 1931 in Lubbock, TX to Tom and Lovie (Daily) Smith. Jack was a lifetime resident of Stanley. He married Addie Josephine Dennisson on February 5, 1972. Jack was a steel worker for Steel Fabrication. He was a member of the Stanley Union Church. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, daughter, Samantha Smith; granddaughter, Melissa Smith and grandson, Gary Smith Jr. He is survived by his wife, Addie Jo Smith of Stanley, NM; sons, Jack LeRoy Smith and his wife Susan May of Albuquerque, NM, David Smith of Kansas, Gary Smith and his wife Jane of Colorado, Dale Smith and his wife JoAnn of South Carolina, and William Smith and his wife Sharon of Stanley, NM; daughters, Rita Grimes and her husband Gilbert Sr. of Colorado, Lou Tinnin and her husband Orville of Colorado, and Kathryn Martinez and her husband Carlos of Texas; brother, Tom Smith and his wife Helen of Roswell, NM; twenty grandchildren and forty-seven great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Stanley Union Church in Stanley, NM at 10:00am with Jack Smith, William Smith and John Nash officiating. Pallbearers will be Chad Tinnin, Sam Gallimore, Jack Smith, Jr., Gilbert Grimes Jr., James Smith, David Smith, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carlos Martinez, Orville Tinnin, Jacob Tinnin, Leo Dennisson, Chris Cordova, Gilbert Grimes Sr., and all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burial will follow the service at the Stanley Cemetery in Stanley, NM.
