Alfonso G. Rodriguez

Alfonso G. Rodriguez, 62, of Estancia, NM passed away on January 9, 2011 in Albuquerque, NM. Alfonso was born in Mexico City, Mexico on April 13, 1948 to Alfonso P. and Helena (Alarid) Rodriguez. He was a longtime resident of Estancia, NM. He married Audrey Hall on August 14, 1971. Alfonso was very involved in Teens Need Teens Drug Fee Program. He was a volunteer translator for Department of Health. Alfonso was loved by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Helena Rodriguez and grandson Joseph Sosa. Alfonso is survived by his wife, Audrey Rodriguez of Estancia, NM; sons, Alfonso J. and his wife Carrie Rodriguez of Albuquerque, NM, and Alex J. Rodriguez of Red River, NM; daughter, Angie Sosa and her husband, David of Albuquerque, NM; sisters, Angela Mata, Amalia Alvarado and Maria Louisa Rodriguez; grandchildren, Miles Cherry, Emily Cherry, Ian Knight, Ethanee Rodriguez, Sophia Rodriguez, Emma Rodriguez, Alana Sosa and Cara Blackmon. There will be a viewing on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Estancia from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00PM at the First Baptist Church of Estancia with Pastor Jonathan Richards officiating. Pallbearers will be Alfonso J. Rodriguez, Alex J. Rodriguez, Josh Oberg, David Sosa, Jeremy Cherry, Carl Alarid, Candido “J.R.” Alarid, Michael Alarid, Miles Cherry and James R. Hall Jr. Burial will follow the service at Estancia Memorial Cemetery in Estancia, NM.
