MARYLOUISE CHAVEZ, 70, of Moriarty, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 30, 2012. MaryLouise was born February 24, 1942 in Palma, NM to Max and Nellie Chavez. MaryLouise was a lifelong resident of Moriarty. She married Antonio “Tiger” Chavez on January 23, 1960, together they lovingly had and raised five children. Mary Louise was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty where she served as Eucharistic Minister and was a member of Our Lady Mt. Carmel Society for many, many years. She loved to pray the Rosary. She also loved to watch her novelas on TV. MaryLouise is preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Max Chavez; husband, Antonio “Tiger” Chavez; son, Sammy Chavez; in-laws, Cayetano L. and Simona T. Chavez; sister, Peaches Chavez; sister-in-law, Marta and her husband Mike DuGan; brothers-in-law, Cayetano Chavez Jr. and Wade Carson; grandchildren, Tony and Tommy Chavez. She is survived by her brother, Ernest R. Chavez; children, Tony Chavez Jr. and his wife, Crystal, Nellie Gomez and her husband Chris, Marie Chavez, Dorothy Ipiotis and her husband Jonathan, and George Chavez and Patrick Vigil; grandchildren, Robert and Consuelo Chavez, Yolanda and Josh Lyle, Jeff and Melanie Chavez, Christopher Gomez, Yevette Chavez, Marcos and Kayla Chavez, Candido Gomez, Malena, Jonathan, Jude, Marisa, Josiah, and MiKayla Ipiotis; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Issac, Nyssah Chavez, Sammy and Alexi Lyle, Jeffery and Iris Chavez, Mariah and Elijah Gomez, and Eina Gomez; in-laws, Joe and Jane Chavez, Frances and Mario Cuellar, Maria and Davie Thompson, Dolores Carson, Albert and Clara Belle Chavez, Carlos and Leslie Chavez and Elena and Donald Chavez; aunts and uncles, Earl DeBlassie, Florinda Encinias, Manuel Chavez, and Celina Encinias; and numerous God-children, nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 7:00PM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 10:00AM also at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church with Rev. Fr. Robert Lancaster officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Chavez, Jeff Chavez, Christopher Gomez, Marcos Chavez, Candido Gomez, Jonathan Ipiotis, Jude Ipiotis and Josiah Ipiotis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Yolanda Lyle, Yevette Chavez, Malena, Marisa, and MiKayla Ipiotis, Aaliyah, Issac, and Nyssah Chavez, Sammy and Alexi Lyle, Jeffery and Iris Chavez, Mariah and Elijah Gomez and Eina Gomez. Burial will follow the Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society.
